How to Perform Tai Chi 24 to This Music

This music is written specifically for Tai Chi 24! As far as I know, it is the only music timed to the movements of the short form of Tai Chi.
Here’s how to use this music.

- Choose the track you want to use. “At the Shore” moves at 80 beats per minute. “Woodlands” moves at 72 beats per minute; and “Blissful Solitude” moves the slowest, at 60 beats per minute.

- Start the track. The ambiance gives you time to move to your starting place. The first low notes allow you time to stretch your feet and adjust your posture.

- Listen to the first three melody notes. These give you the speed of your count. Count 6 beats for inhalation and 6 beats for exhalation. Do your opening form, starting with these three notes.

- Follow the counts through your form. If you are moving at a steady pace, the music will keep pace with you, starting each melodic shape with the next movement.

- If you finish before the music ends, stand in your energy posture (knees bent gently, hands touching waist and palms horizontal to ground) until it fades away.
